Labor organization annual reports, 1945-1983.

Every labor organization functioning in Alabama with twenty-five or more members must file an annual report with the commissioner of the Department of Labor (Ala. Code 25-7-5 [1975]). The Mediation and Conciliation Division uses these records for mediation purposes. The reports are composed of two forms, A and B. Form A lists basic information about the organization, such as its name; location of its principal office and its offices in Alabama; the names, addresses, salaries and other fees of its officers and business agents; the election date of the officers; the officers' names; and the number of paid members. Form B contains a financial statement of all fees levied and received by the organization, an itemized list of all disbursements of the organization, and complete statement of all property owned.
